Comprehensive Interactive Session of eminent scientists, including ayurvedacharyas, geologists, chemists, and geochemists, is proposed to be organized on “Status of mercury and mercurials in the traditional systems of medicine” – late 2010.
The programme, which is being negotiated with the Director S.N. Khan (Mrs.) of TDT Division of DST, Govt. of India, New Delhi, is likely to be held in the Department of Rasa Shastra (Faculty of Ayurveda), Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.

Symposium on "Indian Desert " - its chief characteristics (desertification0, origin and evolutionary cycle, deflation, process of desertification, anchoring, mineral deposits, oil & natural gas recourses, society utility, causes and prevention measures, etc.
The Indian Geological congress plans to organize the above symposium in association with the department of geology, M.L. Sukhadia, University and department of Mines & Geology, Govt of Rajasthan, Udaipur towards the end of 2010 or early 2011. Project's sponsorship is being negotiated with the concerned department and other scientific organization. This would be the first forum to be organized on this theme, so crucial for India, particularly for the state of Rajasthan.
